Story

You can’t pay me enough to give up something I worked so hard for.

Sed ut perspiciatis unde omnis iste natus error sit voluptatem accusantium doloremque laudantium, totam rem aperiam,

In 2021 the career I’d prepared my whole life for came to a screeching halt.

I’d spent the last decade on the cutting edge of technology, designing test equipment for the fastest flash memory in the world, creating machines that could find and map a crack the length of a quarter in 700 miles of buried pipeline, analyzing a solid rocket motor work platform to make sure it could hold 300 tons (then proving it!), and creating the interface between mechanical and electrical systems on the transporters that keep the American nuclear arsenal safe. Mechanical design was my jam.

I expected to stay in mechanical analysis and design forever. It was too much fun to quit, but life has its own plans. I took a new job and I no longer get to turn wrenches, design machines, bend metal, or break things.

So now I do it for fun. Everything else is gravy.
